IYRS School of Technology & Trades

IYRS School of Technology & Trades is a distinctive waterfront wedding venue located directly on Newport Harbor in Newport, Rhode Island. The venue features two complementary spaces: Historic Restoration Hall, which showcases soaring ceilings, beautiful windows, and the rustic character of a wooden boatbuilding shop, and the IYRS Wharf, an outdoor area offering panoramic views of Newport Harbor and the iconic Newport Pell Bridge. The setting captures an authentic nautical atmosphere, enhanced in summer by mega yachts lining nearby wharves. Restoration Hall accommodates approximately 350 guests for cocktail-style events or 250 for seated dinners, while the IYRS Wharf can host around 500 guests for cocktails or 450 for seated dinners depending on tent size. Rental of Restoration Hall includes use of the IYRS Wharf; the wharf is also available as a standalone rental. The venue provides space only and does not include event staffing, catering, tent, or rental services. Availability is subject to the school's educational and events calendar.
