Eleni's Fashions & Tailoring

Eleni's Fashions & Tailoring is led by Eleni, a designer educated at the Athens School of Fashion and Design in Greece. As a student, she was nominated for numerous awards for academic achievement and haute couture, and was chosen to assist in designing a complete wardrobe for Queen Anna Maria of Greece. After completing her studies in 1968, Eleni moved to the United States and continued her career in the fashion industry. In 1984, she was selected as a "Rising Young Star Designer" and invited by the Fashion Group of Boston to showcase five of her exclusive creations before prestigious designers from the United States and Europe. Her work reflects her Hellenic and American heritage, infused with responses to current and past events. Beyond bridal fashion, Eleni has contributed to costume and stage design for local theater productions and has exhibited her work at venues including the Whistler House Museum of Art, the Brush Art Gallery, and the Ayer Lofts. She also teaches fashion design at institutions including Girls Inc., Greater Lowell Technical High School, the Lowell Middlesex Charter School Academy, and Bay State College in Boston.
