Something Savory is a catering company founded by Executive Chef John Levins and Director of Services Jodi Auerbach. Levins began his culinary career in the U.S. Virgin Islands under French Chef Patricia LaCorte, developing a signature style that merges French techniques with Caribbean influences. He gained recognition working at Boston's Harvest restaurant in the 1980s before establishing himself at Cambridge's Green Street Grill, where he became known for incorporating fresh tropical ingredients, spices, fruits and herbs. In 1998, Levins received The Third Annual Howard Mitchum Memorial Medal for Innovation in Seafood Cookery from the Boston Phoenix. Jodi Auerbach graduated from Cornell School of Hotel Management and built her career at the Boston Harbor Hotel, managing both the Rowes Wharf Restaurant and the catering department. She later developed catering divisions for notable Boston restaurants including Elephant Walk, Rocco's, and Green Street Grill. Auerbach brings expertise in service excellence and attention to detail to the partnership. Together, the team applies Levins' culinary craftsmanship and Auerbach's event management experience to full-time catering services based in Arlington, Massachusetts.
