Shinglefish

Shinglefish creates handcrafted art pieces using upcycled cedar shingles weathered for many years. Founded by Nicole Gelinas in the summer of 2018, the company originated at the beach and transformed into physical form within two weeks following a spark of inspiration and a local festival invitation. The business is based in Truro, MA and serves Wellfleet and beyond. The team designs freehand-painted fish, sea creatures, and surfboards on wood that has been recycled and given new life. Every art installation features marine life imagery. These pieces can serve as wedding favors or decor elements, with the marine life symbolizing the energy of water, health, and wealth. Shinglefish focuses on joy, fun, and playfulness in their work.
