Wood & Word Blooms is Connecticut's premiere sola wood floral design studio located in Coventry, specializing in handcrafted, eco-friendly alternative florals. Founded by Jennifer Strekas Angle, a former teacher of 20 years, the company creates everlasting wedding arrangements using hand-painted sola wood flowers along with faux, dried, and preserved botanicals—no fresh flowers. Jennifer became passionate about wood flowers during her own wedding planning and began creating custom pieces with a personal touch, from perfectly matched dyed flowers to hand-crafted book page roses. Wood & Word Blooms offers completely customizable floral arrangements that can be dyed and hand-painted to match wedding colors and themes exactly. Beyond creating custom designs, the studio provides DIY Wood Flower Experiences for brides who want to craft their own florals in person or virtually, plus one-on-one sessions to teach DIY techniques. They also offer Get Your Craft On classes, which are ideal for bachelorette parties.
