Zimmer Brothers Jewelers has served the Hudson Valley for over 120 years, spanning five generations of the founding family. Founded in 1893 by Thomas Zimmer on Garden Street in Poughkeepsie, the business began as a small jewelry store where Thomas worked at the bench alongside his brother Fred, a watchmaker who joined in 1896. Thomas had previously trained as a bench jeweler and served as shop foreman for a manufacturer that supplied Tiffany & Co. The business expanded significantly under Leonard Jr. in the post-war years, adding many of the products and services offered today. Currently led by fourth-generation Michael Gordon and fifth-generation Jocelyn Gordon Klastow, the family jeweler continues the tradition of bringing beautiful jewelry and impeccable service to the region. Each piece arrives in a signature snow white box, crafted to be worn often and treasured forever. The business has become part of many families' gift-giving traditions throughout the Hudson Valley.
