JP's All Star Band

JP's All Star Band is a nine-piece professional ensemble covering soul, funk, blues, classic rock, and pop. The lineup features three vocalists, guitar, keyboards, sax, percussion, bass guitar, and drums. British guitarist Jeff Purchon leads the band, bringing decades of experience performing alongside Robert Palmer, Noel Redding, Ginger Baker, Vernon Reid, and Buddy Miles. The vocal team includes lead vocalist Michael Payette, whose range enables him to cover artists from the 1960s to contemporary hits. Gospel-trained Suzanne Buell, a former Stax recording artist and Boston Conservatory alumni, brings experience with the Boston Pops Gospel Choir and Memphis Symphony Chorus. Vicki Zelski, a Berklee College of Music graduate and Harmony Sweepstakes Regional Finals winner, rounds out the vocal trio. The rhythm section features Ron Pastore on bass, Mike Valdez on keyboards, Phil Antionades on drums, Hal Denham on percussion, and Brad Kohl on saxophone. With 11 years in business and a repertoire exceeding 250 songs, the band serves weddings, corporate events, adult birthday parties, and private functions throughout the Boston area. They provide all sound equipment and lighting, and offer ceremony music, interval music, and master of ceremony services. Mike Payette has particular experience with fundraiser events. The band covers artists including Eric Clapton, Bonnie Raitt, Marvin Gaye, Aretha Franklin, Stevie Wonder, and Al Green.
