Midnight Motion

Midnight Motion is a 6-piece band from Boston specializing in funk, R&B/soul, jazz, and dance music. Formed in 2019 by Berklee graduate Jon Lawson along with Yong Yoon and Ben Cuba, the group developed a distinctive sound combining energetic vocals with saxophone melodies. The ensemble features masterful musicianship and engaging showmanship designed to keep dance floors active throughout events. Their extensive song list spans multiple decades and includes artists like Stevie Wonder, Bruno Mars, Michael Jackson, the Jackson 5, ABBA, and Frank Sinatra. The band performs funk, disco, rock, Motown, and pop genres. Midnight Motion serves the greater Boston area including Cambridge, Newton, Brookline, Quincy, Waltham, and surrounding communities, with availability to travel up to 100 miles for events.
