New Magnolia Jazz Band

New Magnolia Jazz Band brings the authentic sound of New Orleans to events across Massachusetts. Specializing in traditional jazz and swing from the 1920s through 1940s, the ensemble features 4-10 musicians including trumpets, reeds, low brass, and percussion. Formed over 15 years ago, the band delivers high-energy Dixieland and swing music in the styles of Fats Waller, Louis Armstrong, and Pete Fountain. The group performs at a variety of events including weddings, cocktail parties, birthday celebrations, Mardi Gras parties, Kentucky Derby events, and memorial services. Their flexible lineup typically features 6 performers, though they can accommodate smaller 4-piece configurations or expand to a 10-piece ensemble depending on the venue and occasion. The band serves communities throughout Greater Boston and is willing to travel up to 100 miles for performances.
