The Marlene Jazz Ensemble

The Marlene Jazz Ensemble brings sophisticated live jazz to weddings and special events throughout the Boston area. Led by pianist and vocalist Marlene del Rosario, the ensemble performs a diverse repertoire spanning jazz standards, bossa nova, rhythm and blues, and original compositions, featuring artists from Miles Davis and Ella Fitzgerald to Jobim, Sting, and Aretha Franklin. The group offers flexible configurations from solo piano and vocals to duos, trios, and larger ensembles, with most clients choosing a trio format of piano/vocals, bass, and either saxophone, guitar, or drums. Marlene has performed for distinguished audiences including former Massachusetts Governor Deval Patrick, Mayor Menino, Philippine ex-presidents, and Thailand's Princess Chulabhorn. The ensemble performs regularly at New England's premier venues, including Boston Harbor Hotel's holiday events, the Boston Wine and Food festivals, Fairmont Copley's Bacchanale dinner series, and New Year's Eve galas at Chatham Bars Inn. Additional appearances include concerts at the Arlington Jazz Festival, Boston Arts Festivals, and multiple local television appearances. With 23 years of experience, the ensemble serves weddings, corporate functions, holiday parties, and private celebrations across the Greater Boston area. They are willing to travel up to 100 miles for events. Marlene's recordings, including "Crying Days" and "Marlene LIVE With a Little Help From Her Friends," are available on Spotify and other digital platforms. The group's client list includes major corporations like Akamai Technologies, Novartis, and General Motors, along with numerous weddings and private events.
