Uncle John's Clan

Uncle John's Clan is a father-son duo led by Kurt Ginter and Shawn Ginter, featuring classic rock and jam band music from the late 1960s and 70s. The ensemble can expand to include additional musicians for a fuller sound when requested. Kurt performs lead vocals, keyboard, saxophone, and flute, while Shawn provides backup vocals and guitar. The duo can add drummer Luke Rodney from Kurt's calypso steel drum band to create a more dynamic three-piece sound. Their repertoire centers on Grateful Dead music along with classic artists including The Band, Bob Dylan, Pink Floyd, Canned Heat, and The Beatles. They also perform contemporary artists like Jack Johnson and Dispatch. With 14 years in business, the duo has earned Gold Membership status and recognition as Best of 2015 on The Bash, with verified bookings demonstrating their experience. Uncle John's Clan serves wedding receptions, private parties, birthday celebrations, and community events throughout Connecticut and is willing to travel up to 3,000 miles for performances.
