Scampo

Scampo is an Italian restaurant located in The Liberty Hotel, a repurposed historic building that was formerly the Charles Street Jail in Boston's Beacon Hill neighborhood. The restaurant's name means "escape" in Italian. Award-winning chef Lydia Shire leads the culinary team alongside Executive Chef Simon Restrepo and James Beard Award-winning chef Alex Pineda. Chef Shire is recognized in Boston's culinary scene for her unconventional approach to cuisine. The restaurant features Italian-inspired dishes incorporating ingredients from the Mediterranean and Middle East. The space includes contemporary design elements such as copper lighting, an orange bar, and seating that faces a mozzarella bar with a tandoori oven. The open kitchen is visible throughout the dining areas. Scampo offers a 50-seat private dining room that can accommodate 40-45 guests for private events, equipped with audio/visual technology. A seasonal outdoor terrace with 60 seats is available. Complete restaurant buyouts are possible. Groups of 15 or more require a customized limited menu. The event booking process applies to private and semi-private gatherings.
