Cove Cakes LLC creates custom wedding cakes designed by Karen Tyler, a professionally trained pastry chef with a two-year culinary school degree. Karen studied under Chef Lori Blethen, a respected sugar artist, and brings specialized training to each commission. Every decoration and flower on her cakes is personally handcrafted from sugar paste, marzipan, fondant, buttercream, and royal icing. The bakery uses imported, domestic, and organic ingredients in its recipes. Based in Old Lyme, Connecticut, Cove Cakes works directly with couples to create original designs tailored to their wedding vision.
