Topsfield Bakeshop

Topsfield Bakeshop is a family-owned wedding bakery in Topsfield, Massachusetts, operated by husband-and-wife team Chris and Mary Banderek. The couple has worked together for over 25 years and owned their bakery for more than 15 years. Both are graduates of Johnson and Wales University, with Chris holding a degree in Culinary Arts and Mary specializing in Bakery and Pastry Arts. They also hold degrees in Food Service Management and have worked throughout New England in hotels, private clubs, and food service establishments. Mary creates wedding cakes, pastries, and specialty cookie favors using fresh ingredients, while Chris brings his background as a food service operations director to custom menu design. The bakeshop offers an extensive selection of wedding cake flavors and fillings, allowing couples to customize their made-from-scratch cakes. Beyond wedding cakes, they provide cupcakes, pastries, cookies, and dessert buffets. Chris and Mary are also freelance food stylists whose work has appeared in baking specialty books, television advertising, and print publications. The bakeshop has earned multiple WeddingWire Couples' Choice Awards and The Knot Best of Weddings honors since 2013, including induction into The Knot Best of Weddings Hall of Fame.
