Claire Miller, Justice of the Peace

Claire Miller is a Justice of the Peace serving couples throughout Massachusetts. With nearly 20 years as an educator of Deaf and Hard of Hearing children, she is fluent in American Sign Language and holds national certification as an ASL/English Interpreter. She officiates weddings for Deaf couples in ASL or signed supported English based on personal language preference. Claire approaches each ceremony with flexibility and personalization. She works with couples planning celebrations in advance, eloping, renewing vows, or simply making their union legal. Her background in performance and creative writing informs her ability to craft ceremonies that reflect each couple's unique style, whether traditional, unconventional, humorous, serious, meticulously planned, or spontaneous. A lifelong Massachusetts resident, Claire began officiating weddings with her sister's ceremony and has since officiated weddings of all sizes. She embraces all marriages with absolute equality and welcomes couples of all backgrounds. Her passion for the work combines with a strict sense of responsibility to provide couples with a reliable, personalized officiant experience.
