Custom Ceremonies by Michele Zipp is a non-denominational ordained minister based in New Paltz, NY, who has been officiating weddings since 2011. Michele's journey began when her best friends asked her to officiate their wedding, and word of mouth has since connected her with couples who often become new friends. As a Reiki Master, empath, healer, and professional editor and writer, Michele brings both spiritual depth and literary craft to every ceremony. Every ceremony is fully customized and can incorporate meaningful rituals such as handfasting, crystal grids, sage smudging, sound healing, and Reiki. Michele personally handmakes handfasting cording and sage and botanical bundles for each couple. She also creates a keepsake book containing all the words spoken during the ceremony, ensuring couples have a lasting memento of their special day. Her approach honors the ritual and beauty of weddings while telling each couple's unique love story through carefully chosen words and personalized touches.
