Kindred Photography LLC

Kindred Photography LLC is a husband-and-wife photography team based in Barkhamsted, Connecticut, specializing in artistic and photojournalistic wedding photography. The team met while attending the University of Hartford Art School, where they both earned their BFAs in Photography. They launched Kindred Photography in 2012, shortly after their own wedding. Their approach blends artistic composition with candid, photojournalistic moments, focusing on the authentic emotions and in-between moments that make each wedding unique. The photographers emphasize capturing pure joy, spontaneous laughter, and the genuine connections that unfold throughout the day. They believe photography provides couples the ability to reflect on and relive the emotions and milestones in their lives. The team has received multiple Best of Weddings awards from The Knot, including honors in 2018, 2019, 2020, 2022, and 2023, and has been inducted into The Knot Best of Weddings Hall of Fame. They take pride in working together as a couple and feel fortunate to do what they love while spending time with their son.
