Bad Boss Bride is a wedding planning company founded by Rachael and Mike, a husband-and-wife team who transitioned from careers in theatre and production into wedding planning after experiencing frustrations planning their own wedding. Rachael brings over 10 years of experience as a producer, having worked on Broadway productions, museum installations, large-scale galas, and video shoots for clients including Google, Airbnb, and JCREW. Mike contributes over 15 years of experience in theatre as a set design and technical director, providing support for major concerts, large-scale conventions, and Broadway productions. The team developed their planning approach based on core values of empathy, understanding, creativity, and flexibility. Their process emphasizes listening to couples' preferences and avoiding pressure to make decisions that don't feel right. Based in Suffern, NY, Bad Boss Bride received The Knot Best of Weddings award in 2021.
