Bannerman Castle

Bannerman Castle is a historic venue located on an island in the Hudson River, offering views of the Hudson Highlands. This New York State park is open to the public from May through October and is situated in Beacon, NY, approximately 90 minutes north of New York City. The venue accommodates up to 40 guests who are transported to the island via ferry boat from the shore. Couples can exchange vows outdoors in scenic locations overlooking the natural surroundings or inside the original house built in 1901, with the castle ruins serving as a backdrop. The venue now offers full catered receptions with their resident chef and hospitality team, allowing couples to enjoy dinner under the stars and their first dance on the island. The island is managed by The Bannerman Castle Trust, Inc., a not-for-profit organization of volunteers working with the New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation. The Trust focuses on stabilizing the island's buildings, raising awareness of the site's history, and creating a master plan for the preservation of the structures on Pollepel Island.
