Dramatic Hall

Dramatic Hall is a historic three-story building in Peekskill, NY, offering a distinctive wedding venue with art deco styling and exposed brick architecture. Managed by Frank Vasquez and Kathleen Arango, this 15,200 square foot property serves as Westchester's first vendor mall and theater. The venue features bare brick walls, wooden flooring and ceilings, and a third-floor theater space that can accommodate nearly 100 guests. Originally opened as a grocery store in 1838, the building served as Peekskill's telegraph office in the 1860s before gaining its "Dramatic Hall" name when a small stage was added in 1870. The property later housed Durrin Brothers hardware store in the 1880s, Kurzhals Brothers Hardware starting in 1920, and Capital Glass Company through the 1970s and 1980s. After standing vacant for approximately two decades, the building was purchased and restored in 2012 by Gabriel Arango, a Colombian-born businessman invested in downtown Peekskill's Central Market area. The venue provides wheelchair access, wireless internet, and get-ready space for wedding parties. The staff offers assistance with planning, catering, bar service, and rentals.
