Frolic & Detour

Frolic & Detour is a full-service wedding venue located on the edge of Nagog Pond in historic Acton, Massachusetts. Situated 20 miles outside of Boston, the venue is 35 minutes from Wachusett Mountain and minutes from historic towns including Concord, Littleton, Westford, and Groton. The venue features distinctive deck house architecture with a huge double-story fireplace, full upstairs and downstairs bars, and high beam ceilings. Frolic & Detour offers five distinct indoor spaces and two outdoor areas with water views, accommodating both intimate gatherings and large celebrations of up to 130 guests. Couples can reserve the entire venue or select individual spaces depending on their event needs. The first floor includes the Bistro Dining Room with capacity for 75 guests, a three-season porch with floor-to-ceiling windows, and the Pub & Bar featuring a full-service oak bar with 17 beers on tap. The second floor houses the Loft, the largest space with capacity for 130 guests, and the Cottage, an intimate space for 13 that serves as an ideal bridal suite. Outdoor options include the Deck overlooking Nagog Pond with capacity for 25 guests, and the Yard at the water's edge, which accommodates tents and features twinkle lights and two fire pits centered around a giant evergreen tree.
