Gore Place

Gore Place is a National Historic Landmark estate located on the Waltham/Watertown line, just nine miles from downtown Boston. Established by Christopher and Rebecca Gore in 1786, with the mansion built in 1806, this historic property was inspired by the stately country homes of Europe. The Gore Place Society has operated the site as a private nonprofit museum and working farm since 1935, preserving its historic buildings and open space. The venue offers couples a choice of two distinct celebration spaces. The 1793 Carriage House features climate control, accessible restrooms, wood tones, and a neutral color palette that complements various wedding styles. It includes access to a catering kitchenette and accommodates up to 125 guests. For larger gatherings, the outdoor Tent can host up to 200 guests and provides covered outdoor space with access to the Carriage House's catering facilities. Both options include ample parking. The estate's pastoral grounds and classic architecture provide a tranquil setting for wedding celebrations throughout the year.
