Our Lady of Mercy Chapel - Salve Regina University

Our Lady of Mercy Chapel, located on the Salve Regina University campus in Newport, Rhode Island, is a religious venue designed by renowned architect Robert A.M. Stern. Consecrated in 2010, the chapel serves graduates and community members seeking to celebrate Catholic weddings in a campus setting. The chapel features striking stone and shingle architecture that complements the historic Ochre Point neighborhood, along with 13 leaded opalescent glass windows created by artist John La Farge and a bell tower with three bells cast by the Meneely Bell Company in 1910. The venue accommodates up to 250 guests and does not require current university affiliation for couples wishing to reserve a Catholic ceremony, provided dates are available.
