Thacher Hall

Thacher Hall is a historic community space located in Yarmouth Port, Massachusetts. Originally constructed in 1870 as a church, the building is now owned by the Yarmouth New Church Preservation Foundation, a nonprofit dedicated to preserving this historically registered structure as a vibrant cultural center. The venue welcomes celebrations of all kinds and specializes in wedding ceremonies and receptions. The building is one of the finest examples of American Gothic architecture in the region and has been carefully preserved to maintain its original 1870 character. The Audience Room, formerly the church sanctuary, features high arches, beautiful frescoes, stained glass windows, original chestnut pews, and a historic pipe organ. The space is bright and airy while maintaining a cozy, intimate atmosphere. The venue can accommodate approximately 130 seated guests. A large bell in the tower is available for couples to ring following their ceremony. Thacher Hall is situated on Route 6A in Yarmouth Port, one of Cape Cod's most scenic villages. The location is approximately 10 minutes from Hyannis and Cape Cod Gateway Airport. The venue is surrounded by local inns and restaurants that can assist with wedding planning.
