The Bell Inn & Tavern

Bell Inn & Tavern is a wedding venue housed in a building originally constructed in 1740 in the heart of Peabody's historic city center. The property served as a colonial gathering spot and became known as a central meeting location during the American Revolutionary War. After serving various purposes over the centuries—including a private mansion, furniture store, and nonprofit care facility—the building has been restored and reopened as Bell Inn & Tavern. The venue features a cobblestone courtyard, second-floor balcony, first-floor ballroom, and dining room. Couples may host their cocktail hour on the balcony overlooking the courtyard, then proceed to the open-air courtyard itself, which is framed by historic brick and greenery. The ballroom and dining room offer flexible seating arrangements to accommodate different wedding visions. The venue provides overnight lodging for up to sixteen guests across eight rooms, including a bridal suite. The in-house events team works with couples to coordinate details such as floral arrangements and day-of coordination. Culinary offerings focus on New England comfort fare, with serving options ranging from plated meals to buffets.
