The Waters Edge at Giovanni's

The Waters Edge at Giovanni's is a family-owned wedding venue situated on the banks of the Noroton River overlooking Holly Pond in Darien, CT. The venue brings more than 25 years of hospitality experience to wedding celebrations. Second-generation Italian owners JoAnn and Sal Latorraca infuse the venue with Mediterranean roots, offering traditional Italian cuisine and hospitality. The venue features multiple indoor and outdoor event spaces that can accommodate gatherings ranging from intimate ceremonies to large celebrations of up to 600 guests. The Holly Pond Ballroom spans 1,325 square feet and offers riverside views with the flexibility to divide into two separate areas for smaller events. For outdoor celebrations, the venue provides a partially covered space with vintage-style tenting overlooking Holly Pond. Additional spaces include the Swan Suite, a 4,513-square-foot area accommodating up to 450 guests; the Majestic Suite with fiber optic lighting for up to 100 standing guests; the bright Cove Suite with natural light throughout; and the VIP Wine Room, a traditional wine cellar space for intimate gatherings of up to 14 guests. The Waters Edge at Giovanni's has received multiple awards from The Knot, including Best of Weddings honors from 2011 through 2020 and induction into the Best of Weddings Hall of Fame. The venue is located in downtown Darien, offering both waterfront tranquility and convenient access to the local community.
