Tranquillity Vineyards

Tranquillity Vineyards sits on 45 acres of the original 300-acre J.H. Whittemore estate in Middlebury, Connecticut, directly on Lake Quassapaug. The property operates as a working vineyard and offers couples both vineyard and lakefront views for their wedding celebrations. The venue features immaculately maintained gardens, flowing waterfalls, and stone steps outside the main house where outdoor ceremonies take place. The main event room accommodates up to 225 guests and features wood-paneled walls with white accents. Guests enter this space over a bridge spanning the waterfalls, connecting directly from the property grounds. The venue provides tables, chairs, linens, china, glassware, and flatware as part of the rental package, along with setup and cleanup services. A bridal suite is available for wedding party preparations. Head Winemaker Frank Renaldi brings over 25 years of experience crafting wines from grapes sourced from California, Italy, Chile, and other regions. Catering services come through sister restaurants Vyne and Brewbury, with delivery available to the vineyard and savory small plates offered onsite to pair with wine flights. The venue hosts single-faith, multi-faith, and non-religious ceremonies, as well as elopements, civil unions, commitment ceremonies, and vow renewals. A dedicated Events and Guest Coordinator works with couples to customize their celebration.
