Wellfleet Preservation Hall

Wellfleet Preservation Hall is a restored 20th-century church located on Main Street in Wellfleet, Massachusetts. Originally known as Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, the building underwent five years of fundraising and extensive renovations before opening as an event venue in 2011. The restoration preserved the original century-old nave, sanctuary, and steeple, along with architectural details including a wooden balcony, leaded glass windows, pressed-tin ceilings, wood wainscoting, and a slate roof. The venue's bright green entrance doors were handcrafted by noted folk artist Jonathan Kendall. The hall offers multiple event spaces for wedding celebrations. The upstairs Simone Reagor Hall features bespoke crystal chandeliers that illuminate the space, with light reflecting off the pressed tin ceiling. The lower-level Geiger Hall includes a restored stage with a professional sound and lighting system. A modern extension has been added to provide contemporary amenities while maintaining the building's historic character. The commercial kitchen accommodates caterers, and the building includes an elevator, six bathrooms, lobby spaces with tile work from local artists, and full air conditioning. The venue is handicapped accessible. Outdoor spaces include a thoughtfully landscaped garden bordered by trees for privacy. The backyard can be configured for ceremonies or tented for receptions, with a patio area for cocktails. The venue hosts more than 600 events annually and can accommodate celebrations with up to 150 guests.
