Wickham Park spans 280 acres of meticulously manicured gardens, woodlands, and ponds in Manchester, Connecticut, just 10 minutes west of Hartford. Known as Manchester's Hidden Gem, the venue has hosted wedding ceremonies since 1962 and expanded to include receptions in 2005. The park features themed gardens, unique gazebos, fountains, ponds, and the famous Moon Bridge. Two distinct event spaces serve couples: The Cabin at Hilltop Garden and The Emerald Room of the Irish Garden. The Cabin at Hilltop Garden features a rustic log structure with an outdoor marquee tent accommodating up to 150 guests. The hilltop location showcases rose gardens, ornamental grasses, boxwood borders, a gazebo, and a panoramic Hartford skyline view. Inside the cabin, polished wooden floors, exposed beams, and a stone fireplace create a refined atmosphere for dancing. The Emerald Room, built in 2016, accommodates up to 98 guests beneath cathedral wood ceilings. This intimate stone building sits within a private half-acre Irish Garden surrounded by a 6-foot stone wall, emerald bushes, and wrought iron fencing. The courtyard features a water fountain, hand-cut stone tables, and a white pergola for ceremonies. The site fee includes setup, cleanup, tables, chairs, audio-visual equipment, parking, and get-ready rooms. The venue provides event planning services and connects couples with preferred vendors for catering and bartending. Peak season runs April through October.
