William Mason House is a wedding venue in Thompson Hill, Connecticut, set among rolling hills and picturesque landscapes. Built around 1845 by mill owner William H. Mason, this Gothic Revival mansion is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The estate features distinctive Gothic arches and beams rarely found in other structures of its style. After decades of abandonment, the property was privately acquired in 2019 and restored to its former glory while incorporating modern amenities. The venue opened to weddings in 2023. The mansion includes period-themed guest rooms with antique reproductions, 19th-century lighting, marble en suite bathrooms, gas fireplaces, central air, and contemporary comforts. Each room offers complimentary refreshments, a-la-carte continental breakfast, plush comfort wear, and fine linens. The venue provides both indoor and outdoor spaces for ceremonies and receptions. The outdoor area features fountains, flower gardens, and space for custom-decorated tents. Inside, original glass windows, arched ceilings, gilded chandeliers, period art, and historical fineries create elegant backdrops. The original 1845 mahogany staircase remains intact.
