Fine Artist and Live Event Painter

Sheila Foley is a live event painter based north of Boston, Massachusetts, who has been creating art at weddings and events since 2010. She offers two distinct services for couples and their guests. Her primary service is fine art acrylic painting on canvas, capturing the couple within their wedding setting in real time. Working entirely on-site during the event, Sheila completes a 12x16 inch impressionistic painting that goes home with the couple that same night. Her style is impressionistic rather than photographic, with subjects that display personality and presence within their environment. As a separate service option, Sheila provides guest portrait sketches—quick pen and watercolor renderings of individual guests or pairs, created face-to-face from life rather than from photographs. Each guest portrait takes approximately ten minutes and captures the subject's essence, body language, and expressions. Post-wedding commissions are also available, where Sheila can recreate wedding moments from reference photos provided by couples, with permission from the copyright holder. These commissioned works can be completed in various sizes and art media beyond the standard on-site dimensions.
