Gerry Johnston, Guitarist

Gerry Johnston is an acoustic jazz and classical guitarist with over thirty years of professional experience serving the Boston area and throughout New England. His education includes jazz guitar studies at Berklee College of Music and classical guitar training at New England Conservatory. Johnston has performed at countless weddings, corporate events, private parties, and concerts throughout his career. A particular specialty is performing selections from The American Songbook on classical guitar. This repertoire includes great jazz and popular standards by composers such as Duke Ellington, George Gershwin, Richard Rodgers, Carole King, and Henry Mancini. Johnston also performs a wide range of classical guitar music. His ability to perform both jazz standards and classical pieces allows him to accommodate diverse musical preferences at wedding ceremonies and receptions.
